Highland Park The Dragon 1973 I.D. No: 1110

Highland Park Distillery was founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson, an illicit Distiller and Smuggler of Whisky by night, but who also served his local community by day as the local church officer. You could say that the Lord works in mysterious ways and that Magnus liked to serve his congregation two spirits. This is a rare vintage release of Highland Park single malt originally bottled for Taiwan and the distillery shop.

This private bottling of Highland park called ‘The Dragon’ comes from a single cask and takes its name from the 12th Century carving by Norse Crusaders in one of Britain’s finest prehistoric buildings – the Maes Howe chambered tomb, Orkney, dating from around 3000BC.
