Description
Highland Park Distillery was founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson, an illicit Distiller and Smuggler of Whisky by night, but who also served his local community by day as the local church officer. You could say that the Lord works in mysterious ways and that Magnus liked to serve his congregation two spirits.
It was in 1867 that the RNLI established its station at Stromness, and to mark the 150 years of heroic bravery since then, Highland Park bottled this single malt. Exactly 1,867 bottles were released in January 2018, weighing in at 55.9% ABV, as the Severn class lifeboat at the station is 55.9 feet long.
