Glenlivet Code I.D. No: 1164

1 in stock

Near to the small Village of Ballindalloch nestled in the Spey Valley lies the Glenlivet Distillery who proudly hold the accolade of the oldest legal distillery of the Glenlivet parish. Founded by George Smith in 1824 it has produced Whisky continuously except for a brief period during World War II. The name Glenlivet is taken from the Gaelic and is believed to refer to the nearby River Livet and translates to the Valley of the smooth flowing one.

In 2018 Glenlivet released Glenlivet Code inspired by the iconic British Code breakers. This Limited Edition was introduced in a similar manner to Glenlivet Alpha and Cipher with No tasting notes No age or cask information and in an opaque black bottle. Their aim was to encourage Whisky drinkers to focus more on the aroma and the taste of the Whisky without referring to colour, tasting notes or age statement.
