Dalwhinnie is one of the highest distilleries in Scotland at 1164 feet above sea level and set in the beautifully scenic Cairngorm National Park. The name Dalwhinnie is derived from the Gaelic word Dail-coinneeamh – meaning ‘meeting place’ – referring to the meeting of ancient cattle drovers’ routes through the mountains.
