Description

Annandale Distillery is a Scottish whisky distillery located in the town of Annan in Dumfries and Galloway. Founded in 1830, the distillery operated for over 100 years before closing down in 1918. It was not until 2014, when David Thomson and Teresa Church bought the site and began the process of restoring and reopening the distillery. Today, Annandale Distillery is known for producing high-quality single malt whisky using traditional methods of whisky-making. They use only the finest Scottish barley and water sourced from the nearby River Annan to create a unique flavor profile that reflects the local terroir. Annandale Distillery offers a range of tours and tastings for visitors, providing an opportunity to learn about the history of the distillery and the whisky-making process. They also have a gift shop and a café where visitors can enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee. Despite being a relatively new distillery, Annandale has already gained a reputation for producing some of the finest single malt whisky in Scotland. Their whiskies have won numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious World Whiskies Awards. With its rich history and commitment to traditional whisky-making methods, Annandale Distillery is sure to be a major player in the Scottish whisky industry for years to come.
