Additional fee’s may be requested for deliveries outwith our standard delivery area i.e. Highlands & Islands and all Rural areas that attract an extra  surcharged by our delivery agents.

Please ensure your State permits alcohol shipments before you buy (as the responsibility is 100% you the customer to ensure your purchase meets the criteria for entry into your State). Scotch Galore takes no responsibility on your purchase once it is despatched and en-route to you. You may also incur additional fees if your purchase does not clear any Customs criteria and or returned shipping costs.

The address must have someone over 21 years of age to sign for the shipment USA and EU with over 18 for the UK, so we can only deliver to a suitable address that will meet the above conditions.

We can ship up to 10 bottles at a time. You can store your bottles for up to 1 month free of charge. Please see below for shipping cost.

We can ship to most countries worldwide if you have any questions regarding delivery please contact us and we will be more than happy to help.

Some country deliveries are based on a volumetric cost, meaning delivery charges are calculated according to the box size as well as weight.

Scotch Galore Auctions Ltd trading as Scotch Galore Whiskies is not liable for any customs fees which may be incurred in the destination country. You are liable for these and will be responsible for making sure they are paid correctly. Any returned bottles due non payment of customs fees & tax, you will be responsible for the shipping cost back to Scotch Galore Whiskies.

We have been asked by some buyers to falsify the values of the bottles on invoices to incur lower taxes and duties. We will absolutely not do this under any circumstance. The possible repercussions for you and us are not worth it!

We use UPS for these Countries and it is therefore important that you send us your address in the correct format and include a local contact number. Please ensure your postcode matches the City and you include the region/state/suburb where applicable. It will delay shipment if we cannot match your address to UPS’s system.

Again we are unable to offer delivery to either of these countries due to restrictions and local laws.

WHEN DO I NEED TO COLLECT MY BOTTLES?

We will store your purchased bottles free for the 30 days. After that a fee will apply.  If you decide to re-sell and enter your bottles back into our online sale this can be done at any point after you have bought and paid for your items.

DOES SOMEONE NEED TO SIGN FOR MY DELIVERY?

Yes, all our packages require a signature by someone over 18 years old (for the UK) or over 21 years old (for the US). We also operate the Challenge 25 policy.

DAMAGES/MISSING PRODUCTS

MY BOTTLE IS DAMAGED.

Before signing for a delivery, always check the condition of the boxes. If they are wet, damp or damaged areas please refuse the delivery and sign the courier’s forms as necessary.

It is very important you get in touch with us as soon as possible include photos of the damage. Please retain all original packaging. All issues must be reported to us by email within 48 hrs of receiving your order.

We are unable to offer refunds for orders damaged in transit that do not have Loss & Breakage cover. Please refer to our T&Cs.

DAMAGE & LOSS COVER

We are now able to offer our UK & EU customers Loss & Breakage cover through our courier at a cost of 3% of the final price excluding postage. Please note the cover premium cost attracts VAT.

If you do NOT want to take out cover, do not select it at checkout. 

Customers from all other countries are able to take out damage & breakage cover, please contact us for a quote.

I’VE TAKEN OUT LOSS & DAMAGE COVER AND ONE OF MY BOTTLES IS DAMAGED. WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

Please retain all the original packaging and contact us as soon as possible within 48 hours. You will need to supply us with photos of the damage (PDF) in order to be able to process a claim. The insurance company will then arrange for the bottle/bottles and all packaging to be collected and returned to us. If everything isn’t returned the claim will not proceed.

No refunds will be given if there is no evidence provided of the damage/breakage of the bottles. Please refer to our T&Cs for full details.
